Fire Alarm Technician

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

• In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)
• 500 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
• Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
• Availability for after hours on call rotation, as assigned

Your Contribution to Park Security Systems:

• Install and wire fire alarm systems - panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification devices
• Test and inspect systems for code compliance (Fire Alarm Systems, Codes, & Standards)
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documents
• Advanced troubleshooting and repair of devices and system malfunctions
• Coordinate with local fire department to avoid unnecessary response during testing
• Recommend upgrades/repairs when necessary
• Respond to and resolve support/service tickets; phone and email support as needed
• Train clients on system use

Your Ideal Background/Experience:

• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, Codes, & Standards
• Certification as a Fire Alarm Inspector (NICET or equivalent preferred)
