We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.


We are seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our Electrical Self-Perform team for construction projects based in Kings Bay, Georgia.

This position is responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and documentation/ reporting of the fire alarm system in a construction project. This role will be responsible for ensuring all systems meet design specifications, code compliance, and safety regulations, including NFPA standards and in accordance with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This role can be travelling.


PAY: $39.92-43.00 per hour, depending on experience

Compensation is based on specific project location AND WILL FOLLOW DAVIS BACON PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS, WHICH VARY FROM MILITARY BASE TO MILITARY BASE. The hourly range is The hourly range is approximately within $38.58-42.00/hr, eligible for overtime. Hours per week average 40-50 hrs.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position.
  • NICET Level III or IV in Fire Alarm System, Manufacturer training and/ or relevant certification required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technician position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction), over electrical/communications trades on medium or large projects is required. Foreman experience in multiple trades (e.g. concrete, framing/drywall, earthwork, and MEP trades) is a plus.
  • 6+ years (or equivalent) of field or trade work experience in the construction industry/ FA system manufacturing highly desirable; government, military, or large commercial construction experience, preferred. Work in the design-build industry is preferred.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) preferred. Training available.
  • Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred. Training available.
  • CPR, First Aid Certification required; OSHA 30-hour Certification and EM-385 preferred. Training available.
