About the Role

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role is responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational facilities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems and prepare shop drawings.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Create designs using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
• Review project plans, specifications, and code requirements.
• Conduct occasional site visits and field measurements.
• Support permitting, construction, and project closeout activities.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 and related fire protection codes.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Certification.
• Revit/BIM experience.
• Experience with large commercial, healthcare, industrial, or multifamily projects.
