Summary:

As a Master Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installation and/or servicing of integrated systems and special projects. Additional responsibilities include a strong technical aptitude, ability to decipher/design integrated systems in compliance with local jurisdiction requirements, and effective interpersonal skills. Will assist in training of less experienced technicians. Provides guidance and leadership to others to ensure best practices are used. 

What You'll Do:

  • Install/service integrated systems and special projects:
    • Complete system installations and/or servicing of various types of advanced level of integrated burg, card access, video, and fire alarm system, as well as special projects. 
    • Troubleshoot integrated systems in high end residential and commercial applications. 
    • Lead the design and deployment of projects in concert with local and state building codes and communicate effectively with AHJs. 
    • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by branch. 
    • Employ logic and experience to work through system and integrated system issues. 
    • Demonstrate advanced networking skills and communicate with other IT professionals.
    • Interact and communicate at all levels of the organization and with external customers.  Share knowledge, ideas, and solutions. 
  • Train and mentor technicians
    • Review work of Entry Level through Level 3 technicians on shared job sire and provide training to correct any errors. 
    • Responsible for the work done by all technicians on his/her jobs.  
    • Provide guidance and leadership to ensure best practices are used. 

What You'll Need:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • 7+ years industry experience - preferred.  
    • Minimum of 5 years of fire detection and signaling systems experience. 
  • Certification/License:
    • State licensing is required.  
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
    • ESA Level 2 and NICET Fire level 2 - preferred.  
    • Completion of minimum training/certification checklist required per Technician Career Path OR equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • Communication:
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service. 
  • Technical:
    • Proficient in design of integrated systems. Proficient in software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
