Responsible Managing Employee (RME-G) - Fire Sprinkler Systems

James Lane Mechanical, a proud member of the Fidelity family of companies, is seeking a licensed RME-G to lead our Fire Sprinkler Division. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring compliance, design, installation, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems. As the company’s designated Responsible Managing Employee, you will uphold Texas State Fire Marshal requirements while supporting our reputation for quality and reliability.

• Serve as the licensed RME-G of record for Texas fire protection operations.

• Oversee all phases of fire sprinkler system design, permitting, installation, inspection, and maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with all Texas RME-G requirements, maintaining credentials in good standing.

• Partner with the Fire Protection Operations Manager and project teams to deliver high-quality systems.

• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.

• Current Texas RME-G license in good standing OR a current Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with willingness to complete the required statutes exam.

• NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems Layout.

• At least 6 years of experience in fire protection sprinkler design and/or installation.

• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and other applicable codes.
