SUMMARY
Responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems or components in school
district buildings, ensuring they function properly and according to local and national fire codes. Works and
coordinates with Fire Sprinkler Technicians and any other fire service contractors when required.

Familiarity with low voltage wiring and electrical systems. Knowledge of local, state, and national fire safety codes
and regulations.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to properly
use and care for job related tools and equipment. Frequent District wide travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly works indoors and will work outdoors. The
employee will work near or with moving mechanical equipment. The employee may occasionally work with toxic
or caustic chemicals such as petroleum products, degreasers, sprays. The employee must be able to meet deadlines
with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually from moderate to loud.
