Summary:

This position is responsible for performing building sprinkler inspections including testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing reports. Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating any necessary paperwork (Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates).

This position is responsible for performing sprinkler inspections including testing devices, recording and generating results, and providing reports. Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager in collecting data and generating necessary paperwork. RME-I required. Inspectors with additional certifications / licenses encouraged to apply as hourly rate is highly competitive for those with experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:β€―

  • Conduct system inspections to the prescribed standards

  • Test building sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions of the sprinkler system

  • Ensure all inspections are done on a timely basis and that inspections are completed accurately and thoroughly

  • Input and maintain information to generate completed Sprinkler Inspection Report

  • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and equipment as needed

  • Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication

  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Education & Qualifications:β€―

  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years' fire sprinkler experience

  • REM-I required

  • Knowledge of NFPA standards for inspection and testing of fire protection systems required

  • NICET and or other relevant certifications highly desired

  • Proficiency in using test equipment including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices

  • Solid networking skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and use of palm unit operating systems

  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently

  • Flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy

  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required

  • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
