We are seeking a Senior Low Voltage Technician / Installer with strong multifamily new construction experience to support and lead low-voltage installations on large apartment communities. This role is hands-on and field-focused, ideal for someone who understands how low-voltage systems are built into ground-up multifamily projects and can execute work efficiently from rough-in through final commissioning.
This is not a service role β the focus is new construction and production-driven projects.
Perform and lead low-voltage installations on large-scale multifamily new construction projects
Execute rough-in, trim, and final installation for low-voltage systems including:
Structured wiring (CAT6, fiber, MDF/IDF rooms)
Access control systems (key fob/card reader systems)
CCTV / camera systems
Security, intercom, and related low-voltage infrastructure
Read and interpret low-voltage plans, riser diagrams, and specifications
Coordinate work with Electrical crews, GC Superintendents, and other trades
Plan daily work activities and support production schedules
Troubleshoot installation and system issues during construction
Ensure work is completed to code, manufacturer standards, and project requirements
Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards
Support inspections, testing, and project closeout
Mentor junior installers and apprentices as needed
5+ years of low-voltage experience, with a strong emphasis on multifamily new construction
Proven experience on large apartment complexes (100+ units preferred)
Hands-on experience with:
Structured cabling / structured wiring
Access control systems
CCTV / surveillance camera systems
Security and intercom systems
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned scopes
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination
Ability to read and work from construction documents
Reliable, detail-oriented, and production-minded
Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation
Preferred (Not Required):
BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer certifications
Prior lead technician or foreman experience
Experience with integrated low-voltage systems
Dedicated new construction multifamily work β no service calls
Stable pipeline of large, long-term projects
