About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Low Voltage Technician / Installer with strong multifamily new construction experience to support and lead low-voltage installations on large apartment communities. This role is hands-on and field-focused, ideal for someone who understands how low-voltage systems are built into ground-up multifamily projects and can execute work efficiently from rough-in through final commissioning.

This is not a service role β€” the focus is new construction and production-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead low-voltage installations on large-scale multifamily new construction projects

  • Execute rough-in, trim, and final installation for low-voltage systems including:

    • Structured wiring (CAT6, fiber, MDF/IDF rooms)

    • Access control systems (key fob/card reader systems)

    • CCTV / camera systems

    • Security, intercom, and related low-voltage infrastructure

  • Read and interpret low-voltage plans, riser diagrams, and specifications

  • Coordinate work with Electrical crews, GC Superintendents, and other trades

  • Plan daily work activities and support production schedules

  • Troubleshoot installation and system issues during construction

  • Ensure work is completed to code, manufacturer standards, and project requirements

  • Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards

  • Support inspections, testing, and project closeout

  • Mentor junior installers and apprentices as needed

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of low-voltage experience, with a strong emphasis on multifamily new construction

  • Proven experience on large apartment complexes (100+ units preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Structured cabling / structured wiring

    • Access control systems

    • CCTV / surveillance camera systems

    • Security and intercom systems

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned scopes

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination

  • Ability to read and work from construction documents

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and production-minded

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred (Not Required):

  • BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer certifications

  • Prior lead technician or foreman experience

  • Experience with integrated low-voltage systems
